Take the First Step Towards
A Healthier, Happier You

I provide a safe and supportive environment where we can work together to promote your growth and healing

Welcome!

I provide individual and family therapy to clients across the lifespan. While I am trained in and utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, I wholeheartedly believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of all effective counseling. Therefore, I promise to work alongside you from a holistic, empathetic, and nonjudgemental stance. My ability to truly connect with my clients and build an authentic relationship is my greatest clinical strength. It is also what allows us to work collaboratively to efficiently reach your goals. I integrate honesty, humor and, when appropriate, self-disclosure, giving me an approachability that ensures that your treatment does not feel intimidating or uncomfortable.

I am committed to providing you with a safe and engaging space where I can help you to gain insight into yourself and your behavior, break out of negative cycles, and bring about meaningful change. You are not alone on your journey to improved well-being.

Originally, an East Coast Native, I started my professional career working in Washington, DC and Virginia before moving out West to embrace all of the skiing and hiking that it has to offer. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Colorado and Virginia, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor and member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

I earned my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked with individuals and families of all ages to address difficulties stemming from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, OCD, and more. Currently, I work with clients ages 10 and up, with specialized knowledge in treating eating disorders and eating related issues through the use of Emotion Focused Family therapy (EFFT) and Family-Based Therapy (FBT), as well as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) through the use of Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP).

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults and have found that I have a unique ability to build rapport and relate to this population, allowing us to quickly establish open and honest communication.

I have years of experience facilitating individual and group therapy for adolescents struggling with issues surrounding, interpersonal relationships, self-harm,  family dynamics, and substance use, as well as providing parent coaching in tandem to improve parenting skills and parent-child relationships. I strive to help my clients recognize their maladaptive coping mechanisms, understand the function that they serve in their lives , and help them to replace these behaviors with healthier and more adaptive skills.

Lastly, I am also passionate about using my training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy and my own lived experience to help survivors of childhood and adult trauma , those struggling with difficult family or relationship dynamics, or those struggling with a loved one's addiction. I help reestablish the ability to trust, develop distress tolerance skills, and cultivate a new sense of empowerment and self-confidence.
